I was lucky the other day to meet the president of Barstow's railway museum, Laurance Dale. Not only did he fire up and show me the new simulator they have, but he also took me on a tour of the old general manager's personal railway car. It happened to be the first of two such visits to personal cars; the second will come out in a couple of week. If you're in Barstow, this Western Area Railway Museum is well worth a look.
