Music Track - Mars

This piece has inspired many other composers to delve in to the darker side of life.  But this is the 7:30 original in its full length.  Mars, the Bringer of War, from The Planets, by Gustav Holst.  In spite of his name - it was from his Scandinavian grandparents - he was English.  When I worked in South West London, I often passed by his house on the Thames at Barnes.  He wasn't in it of course as he died in 1934!  The last phrase of the music says it all.  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L0bcRCCg01I
