Tirade - Full Responsibility!

I'm getting awfully tired of people "accepting responsibility."  I remember the British Home Secretary, William Whitelaw coming on TV after Argentina invaded the Falklands and accepting responsibility for bad advice to Margaret Thatcher on the matter.  He immediately handed in his resignation.  She sensibly did not accept it.  However he was not to know that at the time.  Today, politicians trot out this tired phrase as if it means anything, which it seems not to.  Kathleen Sibelieus accepted full responsibility for the debacle of the Obamacare roll out.  She's still there being paid by the taxpayers, of course.  Recently there was a chemical spill into a reservoir in West Virginia.  I was passing by the living room and caught the CEO on TV doing the usual thing of accepting responsibility.  And he was a Brit no less.  I've about had it with the wretched phrase.  Come on People!
